Crisis in Russian Villages: Putin Spends Billions on Missiles while Residents Freeze

While Vladimir Putin is spending billions of rubles on missiles to attack Ukraine, in Russian regions people are freezing in their homes.

Since the beginning of the new year, the Zaoksky district of the Tula region has been living without heating, light and water. For this area, such “cataclysms” became the norm several years ago: electricity here regularly disappears during the New Year holidays and several more times throughout the year.

Starting from December 31, residents of the villages of Temyan and Skripovo began to complain that the situation had become critical: there was no light for 10-12 hours, and the temperature in the houses dropped to 10 degrees with severe frosts outside, reports TG channel “Caution, news.”

Rosseti ignores us, does not name the exact time of connection, refuses to register applications“, said a resident of the village of Skripovo.

According to another resident, a substation burned down in 2022, “the entire village was also without electricity.”

Residents of Malakhovo, Svinskaya, Prokshino, Chagodaevo, and Novoselka also reported power outages. Some houses are so cold that residents move into their cars and animals freeze to death.

The district authorities are ignoring the problems and have not even found the time to create an operational headquarters and warm the freezing people. Everyone who left populated areas and temporarily stayed in hotels pays for rooms out of their own pockets, although they admit that their funds will not be enough for a long time.

It was previously reported that in Moscow due to fire In 25-degree frost, houses in three districts were left without heating or light. Authorities have not announced the cause of the fire at the electrical substation.

And military expert Roman Svitan commented a fire at a substation in the Russian capital, citing possible causes of a “blackout.”
