Venkli István was reported missing by his family on December 21, 2021, being sought by the intervention forces everywhere, including along the Crișul Repede River. Following hearings from family members, investigators realized that this was not a disappearance and a murder. The women paid a thief from Valea lui Mihai, Bihor County – Nagy Ioan – the amount of 40,000 lei, for him to carry out the murder.
According to ebihoreanul.ro, the two women have been working together for some time, and the relationship between them has turned into a love affair over time. Last winter, the two decided to kill the man standing in their way. The idea belonged to the victim’s cousin, who convinced his girlfriend that the man had made indecent proposals to her.
Because they considered that they could not commit the deed alone, the two “hired” a thief from Mihai’s Valley, Nagy Ioan, a well-known recoverer, convicted several times for theft and violence. The murderer asked them for 40,000 lei, and they accepted, the amount being paid later in installments.
The murder was committed on the evening of December 18, when Venkli István was called to the edge of a forest near Şimian, where the killer was accompanied by the victim’s cousin. “His wife refused to go,” sources in the investigation told ebihoreanu.ro.
Once there, Nagy hit Venkli in the head with his ax, and then he and the woman stabbed him several times until he stopped moving. Later, they put their victim in the trunk of the car and took her to a field near Valea lui Mihai, where they buried her.
Two days later, Venkli István was reported missing by the police, his family posted dozens of ads on social networks. The locals organized several searches in the area, hoping to find him.
Investigations, initially set in motion for the disappearance, changed course after investigators found inconsistencies in the victim’s wife’s statements during the hearings. Subsequently, the suspicions that she was involved in the man’s disappearance were confirmed, and the other day, so more than 4 months after the disappearance, the woman came with a revelation: her husband allegedly hit her and she pushed him and , in the fall, he hit his head with sandstone, dying. Frightened, she said, she dumped the body in Cris.
Following the? At the request of the prosecutors from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Bihor Tribunal, the hydrotechnicians from Fughiu reduced the flow from Crişul Repede, and the firemen and policemen, assisted by divers, checked the whole river, asking for help even in Hungary.
In vain, however, because the body was not found. As such, the investigations continued, revealing both the relationship between the two women and the periodic payments made by them, right from the card, to the thief from Valea lui Mihai.
On Wednesday night, during new hearings, the man’s cousin gave in. The woman told the investigators of the plan and the murder, leading them the same night to the place where she and Nagy buried Venkli.
