Florence, 8 November 2020 – Sono 2.479 the new cases of positivity al Coronavirus register today in Tuscany, against 2,787 yesterday. THE deceased they decrease by one unit, down to 29. Even the new ones healed decrease: today there are 586 against 614 yesterday. In Tuscany the cases of positivity to the Coronavirus. New cases are 4.1% more than the previous day’s total. The healed reach 17,938 (28.5% of total cases).
I tampons executed reached 1,214,035, 15.542 more than yesterday. 8,264 subjects tested (excluding control swabs), of which 30% tested positive. To these are added the 1,784 rapid antigenic swabs performed today. The currently positive are 43,447 today, + 4.5% compared to yesterday. There are 1,700 hospitalized (118 more than yesterday), of which 226 in intensive care (12 more). The 29 deaths involved 18 men and 11 women with an average age of 83.7 years. Regarding the province of residence, the deceased people are: 13 in Florence, 5 in Prato, 1 in Pistoia, 2 in Massa Carrara, 4 in Pisa, 3 in Livorno, 1 resident outside Tuscany.
The average age of 2,479 cases today is approximately 46 years (13% are under 20, 24% between 20 and 39, 36% between 40 and 59, 19% between 60 and 79, 8% are 80 or older).

The case map
The cases of positivity recorded a Florence I’m 554 more than yesterday, a Meadow 336 more, a Pistoia 267 more, a Massa Carrara 99 more, a Lucca 262 more, a Pisa 347 more, a Livorno 154 more, ad Arezzo 252 more, a Siena 139 more, a Grosseto 69 more.
Tuscany is in 7th place in Italy in terms of number of cases (resident and non-resident), with approximately 1,688 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (the Italian average is 1,495). The provinces with the highest rate of notification are Prato with 2,121 cases x100,000 inhabitants, Pisa with 2,008, Florence with 1,839, the lowest Grosseto with 864.
Isolations and shelters
Overall, 41,747 people are in isolation at home, as they have mild symptoms that do not require hospital care, or are symptom-free (1,746 more than yesterday, plus 4.4%). Instead, there are 35,242 (1,857 fewer than yesterday, minus 5%) people, also isolated, in active surveillance because they have had contact with infected people.
People hospitalized in the beds dedicated to COVID patients today there are a total of 1,700 (118 more than yesterday, plus 7.5%), 226 in intensive care (12 more than yesterday, plus 5.6%).
The healed
There are 17,938 people healed overall (586 more than yesterday, plus 3.4%): 1,344 people clinically healed (50 more than yesterday, plus 3.9%), that is, who became asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated infection and 16,594 (536 more than yesterday, plus 3.3%) declared healed in all respects, the so-called viral healings, with double negative swab.
The Tuscan raw mortality rate (number of deceased / resident population) for Covid-19 is 41.9 x100.000 residents against 68.0 x100.000 of the Italian average (11th region). As for the provinces, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa Carrara (107.2 x100.000), Florence (57.3 x100.000) and Lucca (44.1 x100.000), the lowest in Grosseto (12.2 x100.000).
