Covid-19: MP opens investigation into the case of certification and sale of masks by Quilaban | Justice

The Public Ministry opened an investigation into the case of certification and sale of three million protective masks acquired by the Ministry of Health from Quilaban, in direct agreement, the Attorney General’s Office said on Tuesday.

“An investigation is confirmed. The same goes for terms in the 3rd section of the Department of Investigation and Criminal Action (DIAP) of Sintra da Comarca de Lisboa Oeste ”, said on Tuesday, in response to the agency Lusa, the press office of the Attorney General’s Office .

In this way, the PGR confirms the opening of an investigation into the case of certification and sale of three million individual protection masks purchased by the Ministry of Health from the company Quilaban under a direct contract, in the amount of approximately 8.5 million euros, signed on 7 April, during the state of emergency due to the pandemic.

O PUBLIC reported on Sunday that there was invalidity or falsehood in the certification of masks made in China, but the company Quilaban assured on Monday that “the certification presented was true and valid and remained true and valid through a new certificate”.

Quilaban belongs to the former president of the National Pharmacy Association (ANF), João Cordeiro, and had other direct agreements with the State for the supply of material during the pandemic.
