As Black Lives Matter protesters march peacefully past their villa in the American city of St. Louis, Missouri, a lawyer couple points their weapons at the activists. Hundreds of protesters were on their way to Mayor Lyda Krewson’s house to request her resignation. It had incited the protesters’ anger for revealing the names and addresses of residents who had proposed cutting the police budget.

The couple, Mark and Patricia McCloskey, brandished a semiautomatic rifle and a small pistol. They would have broken the law anyway by ‘using weapons illegally’. The website of the couple’s law firm, the McCloskey Law Center, states that the couple have been married for 30 years and have an adult daughter. Neither the St. Louis office nor the police wanted to respond to the incident.
