Under the leadership of Denis Masson, President of AC Saint-Broladre, Florentin Lecamus-Lambert started on two wheels with mountain biking.
Downhill, trail and cross-country on the program, before turning definitively towards road cycling during his second year as a cadet.

French champion on track
Immediate success with a champion title from Brittany. And the conquest of Madiot Trophy with, by the way, two victories during his heats.
Even better, in junior and in 2017, and this time on track, he gleans two jerseys French pursuit champion, one per team and the other individually. Other successes or places of honor will earn him the Golden Bike of the category!
Obviously the advice of the technical manager from Ille-et-Vilaine, Aurélien Vauléon, will have been heard by the young man. No wonder professional teams are already looking into his promising profile.
But it’s good Dinan Country Team that he takes a license the following season.

Disappointed with his last season
Its qualities are no longer in doubt. For two years, and in parallel, he has also been an intern at Fortuneo-Samsic since then Arkéa-Samsic. This path should lead him to go pro as of this August in this formation.
But nothing is less certain now, regrets Florentin Lecamus-Lambert:
“Already my results were not what I expected last season. And I don’t really have any news. With the coronavirus epidemic, it’s complicated. “

But at 20 years nothing is lost, even if one signs pro earlier and earlier in cycling.
To give himself every chance of achieving this, he seeks to keep a minimum of form during this period of confinement:
“I focused even more on jogging to stay in a healthy lifestyle.”
But not only. Small meetings are dated with his Dinan team-mates:
“We organize collective training sessions on our home trainers connected to the Internet. I prefer this to virtual races because there can be cheating. But it all becomes long. Not having a date where specific goals are not what I prefer. “

He almost won Paris-Roubaix junior
Yet this excellent roller still has the same dream. And it doesn’t relate to just any myth:

Pilot fish for a sprinter
If he lacks a little punch to win in races of a very very high level, he can wear the costume of the precious teammate.
His ability to hurt himself at the end of the race will make him a real asset:
“My qualities mean that I can take a sprint over a short or even longer distance.”
It will therefore be interesting, in the last three kilometers, to the training which will make him sign his first big contract. Despite the circumstances this should not delay any longer.
