Coronavirus Peru | COVID-19: More than 26 million 842 thousand Peruvians have already been vaccinated against the coronavirus | RMMN | LIME

The Ministry of Health (MINSA) reported that until Saturday 3 December, the number of people with at least one dose it amounts to 26,842,683. Meanwhile, the total number of citizens vaccinated with two doses is 25,773,441 as of 7:00.

Similarly, the number of citizens who received the third dose of the vaccine against COVID-19 amounts to 21,024,973, while 5,932,587 people were vaccinated with the fourth dose.

So far, Peru has received more than 26 million vaccines from Sinopharm, more than 49 million from Pfizer, more than 10 million from AstraZeneca and more than four million from Moderna. All of these are applied according to the government’s age group programming after inoculation with priority healthcare personnel, senior citizens and members of the National Police, Armed Forces and Fire Brigade.

Both Sinopharm and Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines need to be applied in two doses to vaccinate a person against COVID-19.

New vaccination plan

To date, the third dose is placed in people aged 5 and older. Similarly, the fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine is applied to people over the age of 18.
