The number of confirmed infections and deaths from the coronavirus in China has risen again. China’s Health Commission said on Saturday that 143 new deaths have been confirmed nationwide. According to official information, 1,523 victims have now been confirmed on the Chinese mainland.
The number of newly proven diseases rose there by 2,641 to 66,492 cases. Outside the Chinese mainland, around 600 diseases have been confirmed in the rest of the world.

China’s capital Beijing tightened its measures in the fight against the spread of the disease on Friday. People returning to Beijing should now be quarantined for 14 days either at home or in special centers, according to an official statement. Legal consequences have been threatened for those who do not comply with the requirements. At first there was no further information about how the insulation should be implemented.
