Argentines Nicolás Ibáñez, twice, and Germán Berterame converted goals this Friday to hit the saint Louis a 3-1 victory over the leader Lion in the Clausura 2020 tournament of Mexican football.
In the beginning of the sixth day of the championship, the San Luis, branch of Atlético de Madrid was superior, especially in the second half, a psychological blow in favor of the team after being beaten 4-0 last Sunday by the Pumas UNAM of the Spanish coach Míchel.

The duel began at a good pace with rapid transit from one side of the court to both sides, which barely stopped in the midfield.
In the fifth minute, Costa Rican Joel Campbell lost some time in a counterattack and fired left-handed at the first opportunity of Leon, coach Ignacio Ambriz.

The San Luis began to dominate. In the 10th minute, Argentine Matías Catalán finished off a long distance on the one hand and in 17 Ibañez was close to opening the scoring in favor of the home team with a shot deflected by goalkeeper Rodolfo Cota.
A hand in the area caused a penalty that Ibáñez scored in the 25th minute to score 1-0. However, Leon responded immediately and in the 26th minute he tied the game with a left-footed shot from Ramos in a defense foul.
Diego Hernández let go of the second goal of San Luis in the 28th minute. From that moment the match dropped in intensity, although the local team again stepped on the area with advantage in the 44th minute in a free kick taken by Luis Reyes, Dionicio Escalante was late.
In the second part, San Luis left in search of the opposite goal and in the 47th minute created danger with an arrival of Catalan by the right wing, from where he put a ball to Ibáñez, who could not continue the play.

San Luis took over the game. In the 56th minute Ibáñez drew juice from a defense fault and with the right put the 2-1. Berterame scored the 3-1 head on a free kick in the 61st minute.
The Lion had no response and suffered his second setback of the championship.
With the triumph, San Luis rose to sixth place with two wins, three draws and nine points, three of the Leon that is now at risk of losing the lead on Saturday or Sunday.
On the seventh day the Lion will receive the Necaxa on Saturday 22 and San Luis will visit the Querétaro, on Sunday 23.
