Gustavo Quintero, dean of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences of the Universidad del Rosario and president of the Colombian Association of Faculties of Medicine, explained that since April 1 and, during the whole month will advance the degrees of 2,400 medical students so they can help in the midst of the coronavirus crisis.
In dialogue with 6AM Today for Today said these professionals come in to do their rural medication what is he compulsory social service. He explained that degrees will be given in several batches, one has to do with agreements between the Ministry of Health, the universities, the EPS and mandatory services in the country.

He said that these new doctors can go to work in general medicine and pointed out that it could free others healthcare professionals so they go to more advanced sectors.
“I am sure they are willing and ready to serve,” he reiterated.
