ROME (dpa-AFX) – In Italy, hundreds of corona patients died again within a day. The number of people currently infected with the Sars-CoV-2 pathogen climbed by almost 2,500 people on Thursday compared to the previous day. Overall, however, the corona figures that civil defense in Rome presented in the evening continued to stabilize the trend. Accordingly, 13,915 people have died there in connection with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the corona wave, which was 760 more than the previous day. The authorities counted a total of 115 242 Corona cases.
The experts had previously said that Italy may have reached the “plateau” of the contagion wave. It is also important for the overloaded hospitals that the number of intensive care patients has been almost stable for days.
