Coronavirus, Conte: “Committed to providing masks”. Boccia: “We need a sense of state”. Sled Cdm

The meeting of the Council of Ministers is still postponed for the launch of the maxi decree with the support measures for businesses and families to face the coronavirus emergency. According to what has been learned, the preparatory meeting of the pre-council, which should have been held around 1 pm, was postponed at 4 pm and therefore the cDM, which had initially been speculated on the same day, should take place in the evening but a further postponement is not excluded.

Meanwhile, the prime minister confirms the government’s efforts to supply masks.

“Our priority – he said Giuseppe Conte – is to make doctors, nurses and all health personnel work safely, who with courage and spirit of self-sacrifice are working to take care of citizens, dedicating themselves to this health emergency without saving energy “.

“As a government – he added – we are strenuously committed, and myself through contacts with my counterparts, to provide in a very short time the protective devices that allow them to work in maximum safety. There is maximum attention for the situation in Lombardy” .

“I trust in the great sense of responsibility shown so far by all the Italian mayors and by all the presidents of the Region, we will come out of it only with a high sense of the State” then hopes the Minister of Autonomies Francis Bowl about the controversy with some regions, especially Lombardy.

“It is the highest priority in the country, all Lombards must know – he added – and the tender of solidarity also of the smallest and poorest Regions I hope will serve as a teaching tool to all”.

And while the government is preparing to launch the decree law with anti-Coronavirus measures (financed with about half of the budgetary deviation of 25 billion approved unanimously by Parliament and on which Italy has received the green light of the European Union) , the Minister of Cultural Heritage calls for lowering the tone.

“I see thousands of people working at risk and without stopping – Tweet Dario Franceschinifrom hospitals to those who guarantee services, from Regions, to Mayors, to the Government, to Civil Protection. And I ask: no more controversy, no more mutual attacks. We are all on the same boat and there is no time to waste. “

Some ministers have hypothesized in these hours the hypothesis of two decrees law: one with health measures, the other with economic measures. But the problem remains of the overcrowding of legislative decrees in Parliament, which moreover is working at a very slow pace.

With the coronavirus emergency, the government has already passed a first decree law (number 6/20) on February 23, already converted on March 5. A second decree law with suspension of terms (number 9/20) was published on March 2.

A third decree law on restrictions on court activities (number 11/20) was published on March 8. A fourth decree law with the measures for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics (number 16/20) was published on Friday.

Today’s fifth law decree

Today’s will be the fifth decree law approved during the coronavirus crisis and there is a risk that the narrow-gauge parliamentary jobs will flood.

What path will the government take in parliament? Will a maxi-amendment be created in which all the coronavirus decrees are brought together in a single solution? In cDM it is possible that Conte, D’Incà and the other ministers reason about this problem.

The Government will also hear majority and opposition leaders, the Regions and the ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ committees in these hours on the delicate issue of postponing the referendum on the cutting of parliamentarians (expected ab initio March 29), of the regional and municipal elections, scheduled for next spring
