Corona rules: State government does not use 2G+ for gastronomy in Thuringia

The planned tightening of the Corona regulations for restaurants is off the table for the time being. This was announced by the state government on Tuesday afternoon in its government media conference. Actually, from January 23rd, 2G+ should apply in the entire gastro area. That means: Only those who were vaccinated and recovered with a negative corona test or a booster vaccination would have been allowed access. Now 2G still applies, access is only allowed to those who have been vaccinated or recovered.

In hot spot regions with an incidence of more than 1,000 new infections within seven days, the 2G + rule will also be applied in the future, it writes Thuringia’s early warning system before.

The currently valid regulation is already having an effect

According to government spokesman Falk Neubert, the cabinet stated on Tuesday that the regulation in its current version is already having an effect and the number of infections is falling. The currently valid Corona Ordinance in Thuringia will be extended until January 24th.
