The number of deaths and cases caused by the Coronavirus in China increased on Wednesday, February 12, after recording 242 deaths in one day in Hubei Province, in addition to 15,000 cases.

After the authorities announced the new figures, the number of deaths reached at least 1,355 people and 60,000 injured, while 3,441 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering.

The Chinese authorities replaced the head of the Communist Party of China regional committee in Hubei Province with another official, after the virus intensified popular pressure on the country’s leadership.

Jiang Zhaoliang’s dismissal came after China announced the dismissal of two senior health officials in the central Hubei Province, amid growing criticism over how Chinese officials dealt with the spread of the virus.

For its part, the Hubei Provincial Health Committee confirmed 14,840 new infections in this province in central China, which formed the focus from which the virus began spreading.

A Royal Jordanian Airlines plane evacuated 71 Jordanian and Arab students from the city early this month.

The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs also announced the evacuation of all Iraqi students and their families who are in Wuhan due to the spread of Corona virus.

301 Egyptians were evacuated from Al-Alamin airport, northwest of Egypt, including 11 babies.

The returnees stayed in an armed forces hotel in Marsa Matruh for two weeks to ensure that none of them were infected with the virus, according to the Egyptian Ministry of Health.

On the other hand, a number of Yemeni students are still stuck in Wuhan after their evacuation has not been possible so far, and these students have appealed to the authorities of their country to work for their speedy exit from the city, just as the rest of the students are from other Arab nationalities.

More than a month after the virus spread, a report by the American Washington Times came out, stating that the outbreak was deliberate, and that the Wuhan Institute of Virology was developing that new vital weapon, to attack targets in the world, according to what it said was “classified information leaked by a former officer”. In Chinese military intelligence. “

On the other hand, a report of the British Daily Mail newspaper said that Russian sources and reports recently indicated the responsibility of the United States of America for the spread of the epidemic and its spread in China in this way.

And those sources indicated that “the real goals of this lie in Washington’s endeavor to use the virus as a biological and economic weapon against China.”

She added that “American experts are expected to kill Corona, about 65 million people within a year and a half.”
