Bremen Senator: Face-to-face lessons are important for primary school students

Bremen’s Senator for Education, Claudia Bogedan, sees the planned face-to-face classes at primary schools from March onwards as the right way to reduce the consequences of fighting pandemics for children. “We all notice that we have not seen a number of children in the facilities for a very long time,” said the SPD politician to the Bremen “Weser-Kurier”. The aim is to give the students the opportunity to “be with other children”. It is absolutely justified to allow younger students to be present again. It had previously been announced that the primary schools in the city of Bremen were returning to full classroom operations in view of the falling number of new corona infections. In the municipality of Bremen this should be the case from March 1st, in Bremerhaven teaching will take place in half groups until the Easter holidays. For all students from grade 5 onwards, lessons are continued in an alternating model.
