And Egypt needed only 3 days to exceed 7 thousand cases after registering 6 thousand cases last Saturday, which is the lowest time period to record a thousand cases, as the ministry recorded the first thousand injuries after 51 days, then the second thousand after 8 days, and the time period remained decreasing successively , As it reached 6 days to register the third and fourth thousand, and 4 days to register the fifth and sixth thousand.

In the same context, the daily number of deaths rose again, registering 16 cases, an increase of more than 55% from Monday, which recorded only 7 cases.

However, the overall mortality rate versus total injuries decreased to only 6.2%, given that 452 deaths were recorded, after it was 7.5% a few days ago, due to the large increase in the number of new infections. While the average global death rate recorded with the World Health Organization is 5.3%, according to Dr. Amjad Al-Khouli, a consultant epidemiologist at the organization.

Khaled Mujahid, media advisor to the Ministry of Health, told Masrawy that 30% of all deaths died before arriving at the isolation hospitals, and 25% of them died in the first 48 hours of being inside the hospital, and that the vast majority of deaths are over 50 years old, and suffer from chronic diseases Or tumors.

The recovery index also reached the daily maximum level, with 98 patients discharged from isolation and quarantine hospitals, including a foreigner, after the highest recorded number of recovery cases on April 20 was 89, bringing the total to 1730.

According to data from the Ministry of Health, the number of cases whose laboratory results have been transformed from positive to negative for Corona virus has increased to 2224 cases, including the 1730 recovered.

According to the WHO guidelines, there are still 5,019 cases in isolation hospitals and quarantine sites.
