Columbus shooting – ‘One dead and 5 injured’ during ‘vigil for victim of gun violence in Dollar General parking lot’

Several people were reportedly shot and one person was reportedly killed during a vigil in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday night, police said.

The police told NBC that six people were shot dead, including five injured and one killed.

Group reportedly rally to mourn the death of someone killed last week

One person opened fire on a group of people who gathered in a Dollar General parking lot, Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputy Office Chief Jim Gilbert told NBC.

The shooting occurred near Truro Township, near Columbus, near a store on the 5000 block of Chatterton Road, according to Gilbert.

The group has reportedly gathered to mourn the death of someone killed in a Columbus Police Department homicide last week, WCMH reported, but this has not yet been confirmed.

No details have been released about the suspect or the victims.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to The Sun’s request for more details.
