Colored with two red cards, the match ends with a 1-1 draw

A drama full of drama presented in between Lazio vs Inter Milan in the third week Italian League. The two teams drew 1-1, and were colored with two red cards.

At the Olimpico, Sunday (4/10/2020), Inter took the lead in the 30th minute through a kick Lautaro Martinez. However, Simone Inzaghi’s squad managed to take one point at home after Sergej Milinkovic-Savic equalized in the 55th minute.

In this match, both teams lost a player. Ciro Immobile kicked out first in the 69th minute after being involved in an incident with Arturo vidal. Stefano Sensi was the next one to be kicked out after a row with Patric.

With this result, Lazio are now in the ninth stage temporary standings by 4 points. Meanwhile, Inter are in third place with 7 points.

The course of the match

Lazio appeared pressing at the start of the first half. Stefan Radu opened up the opportunity in the 6th minute with a header from a corner, but still missed the target.

In the 18th minute, it was Joaquin Correa’s turn to have a chance. He managed to catch Manuel Lazzari’s cross, but his header still bounced over the net.

Almost! A minute later, Luis Alberto fired a shot from inside the penalty area, but Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic was able to brush it off.

Pressing at the start, Lazio conceded in the 30th minute. Starting from Ivan Perisic’s penetration into the penalty box, Lucas Leiva tried to block it, but the ball was blocked instead leading to Lautaro Martinez, who with one shot beat Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha. GOAL! Inter winning 1-0.

Winning one goal, Inter are increasingly eager to find the second goal. Achraf Hakimi almost doubled the lead in the 39th minute, if only his header didn’t go wide.

Nicolo Barella also had a chance ahead of the end of the first half, but his long-range shot was far from the mark. Inter’s 1-0 lead lasted until the break.

In the second half, Inter tried to add a quick goal in the second half, but Lazio found their goal. In the 55th minute, Francesco Acerbi’s cross from the left was greeted by a header from Sergej Milinkovic-Savic which Handanovic could not save. GOAL! Score a 1-1 draw.

In the same position, the morale of Lazio’s players has increased. Two minutes later, Marco Parolo almost sent Lazio back home, but his header was just wide. In the 62nd minute, Handanovic thwarted Luis Alberto’s strike.

RED CARD! Ciro Immobile was red-carded by the referee in the 69th minute. He was tackled by Vidal, but reacted by ‘slapping’ the Chilean midfielder, making Vidal fall ‘in pain’. Protests also emerged from Lazio players, but they were ignored. Vidal only gets a yellow card for the foul.

Even though he played with 10 people, Lazio was not discouraged. Milinkovic-Savic had a good chance in the 76th minute, but his long-range shot was saved by Handanovic. Meanwhile, Correa’s chances in the 82nd minute still haven’t met the target.

Inter are trying to take advantage of the number of players. In the 83rd minute, Hakimi fires a left footed shot, but Strakosha is saved.

Almost! In the 86th minute, Marcelo Brozovic’s long-range shot is blocked by Jean-Daniel Akpa-Akpro. The ball still aimed at the goal, but still hit the Lazio goalpost.

RED CARD! This time for Stefano Sensi in the 87th minute. He grabbed the ball with Patric on the sidelines then pushed the Lazio defender, hitting his face a little, causing him to fall ‘in pain’. The referee immediately drove Sensi away, while Patric received a yellow card.

In the same situation playing with 10 people, both teams fail to score additional goals. 1-1 score lasted until the end.
