For the penultimate date of Zone 2 of the Professional League Cup, Colón lost this Saturday, 2-0, in his visit to Arsenal de Sarandí. Cristian Colman and Sebastián Lomónaco scored the goals for Leonardo Carol Madelón’s team.
With the physical fatigue typical of the demands of the Copa Libertadores, Falcioni proposed a team with a majority of substitutes to visit Ass, without taking into account that he was putting his qualification for the quarterfinals of the Professional League Cup at risk.
What Falcioni did not take into account is that Arsenal was not going to give anything away and went with the idea of keeping the three points at El Viaducto. That is why the goals came only in the second half, first Colman and then Lomónaco, sentenced the story 2-0 for the locals and extinguished all the chances of the Sabalero to be able to reach the quarterfinals.
The defeat left Colón 4 points behind in the standings, with three remaining at stake. The only thing left to think about is the next match for the Copa Libertadores, where the people from Santa Fe have been doing a good job.
