The Ministry of Health reported 11,643 cases of covid-19 and 287 new deaths from the disease in the country this Sunday.
Thus, the country exceeded the figures of 15 thousand deaths from the pandemic (15,097) and 468,332 cases in total, with 164,832 active cases.
Of the reported cases, 664 of them are from the Valle del Cauca registry, while 26 new deaths were announced in the department. 20 of them occurred in Cali, another four in Palmira and one in Dagua and Cartago, respectively.

The deaths in Valle del Cauca correspond to 19 men and seven women. 16 of the deceased had comorbidities and 17 of them were older than 70 years, who are considered the population most vulnerable to the virus.
As announced by the entity, this Sunday 34,892 new PCR tests and 5,780 antigens were processed.
In total, the coronavirus pandemic leaves more than 21 million cases in the world and more than 766 thousand deaths.
