On Monday August 17, the designer Jean-Jacques Sempé celebrated his 88th birthday. And that was good because that same day began the shooting of the third film inspired by the books he created with screenwriter René Goscinny, “Le petit Nicolas”.

Entitled “The treasure of little Nicolas”, this third live-action feature film will not, unlike the previous two, be directed by Laurent Tirard, but by Julien Rappeneau. The son of director Jean-Paul Rappeneau has already shot two films, “Rosalie Blum” and “Fourmi” and has scripted many others, including “36 quai des Orfèvres”.

This will not be the only change for this new component since the parents of little Nicolas, played until then by Kad Merad and Valérie Lemercier will be replaced by Jean-Paul Rouve and Audrey Lamy, announced the Warner. However, we do not know which child will play little Nicolas. The release is scheduled for October 6, 2021.
