Strache is allowed to run for the Vienna election, the FPÖ is shocked. Parts of the party wanted to replace top candidate Nepp with Strache. The Federal FPÖ prevented that – for the time being.
The horror scenario for the Vienna FPÖ has now officially occurred. Ex-FPÖ boss Heinz-Christian Strache is allowed to run for the Vienna election on October 11th with his team HC. The district electoral authority in Vienna’s third district had checked (after objections) and now recorded that the center of life of the former blue frontman is in Vienna and not in Klosterneuburg.
The small party Wandel had previously doubted this and wanted to remove Strache from the ballot. Now the blue mood is at its all-time low – after not having been much above it in the past few months. Because in the FPÖ there is a state of panic and resignation.
