BEIJING, June 29 (Xinhua) – China has decided to impose visa restrictions on US nationals who have acted maliciously in Hong Kong-related matters, a spokesman for the Chinese foreign ministry said on Monday.
Spokesman Zhao Lijian made the remarks during a press conference in response to US visa restrictions imposed on Chinese officials.
The United States’ attempt to obstruct the national security legislation of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region by China by adopting these so-called sanctions is doomed to failure, said Zhao.
