The Budapest II. and III. The District Prosecutor’s Office filed charges against both suspects, the case has five victims – reports MTI based on a statement from the Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office.
Between January and March 2023, the defendants in Budapest II. in the district, mostly elderly people were called on the street.
The man and the woman, disguised as a woman, entered the victim’s apartment by pretending to be acquaintances, then diverted their attention and took cash, jewelry and watches, with a total value of almost HUF 2.5 million.

The man operating in disguise is charged as a repeat offender, and his partner is charged with the crime of business-related theft. The police seized the woman’s wig, women’s bag, as well as the stolen jewelry and watches used in the crime, the statement reads.
