A 46-year-old man from Simeonovgrad was detained for domestic violence and causing bodily harm, the Regional Press Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Haskovo reported.
His arrest was carried out after the man beat his 47-year-old girlfriend with whom he lived on a family basis in the city with a metal pipe.
The victim was taken to the district hospital in Haskovo for treatment, as her life is in danger. The attacker was detained for 24 hours in the pre-trial proceedings, the police added.
