Take a small part of the route taken by Sigéric, Bishop of Canterbury, a little over 1,000 years ago …
Departure : Savy (church). Take the place Saint-Martin then the lane of the church. Then take the rue du château d’eau on the left.
1. Turn right onto the old railway line. Cross the D 681 and continue opposite to follow the D 68 for 2 kilometers.
2. When entering Maison-Rouge, take the old railway line to the right. Cross rue de Dallon and continue opposite. Pass under the highway and continue on the right-of-way of the railway line. After 2.7 km it leads to the rue de Paris in Saint-Quentin.
3. Leave the city center on the left and continue opposite on the right-of-way of the old railway line towards the canal.
4. Before the bridge, descend to the right on the bank and walk along the north bank of the canal for 2 kilometers.
5. At the Oestres bridge, leave the towpath, go up and cross the D 28 bridge on the left over the canal. Go down the bank to the right and follow the south bank of the canal. Pass under the motorway bridge, under the Dallon bridge and reach the Fontaine-les-Clercs lock.
6. Continue to the right in rue du Pont, then right again in rue de Saint-Quentin.
7. Turn left then continue straight on to Saint-Quentin-Roupy aerodrome.
8. Cross the D 930 and continue opposite.
9. Continue left to reach rue de Fontaine, then right to reach the starting point.
