Metro A of the TCL network in Lyon (Rhône) has come to a complete standstill since the discovery of a suspicious package in one of its trains at the station Charpennes Charles-Hernu around 3:15 p.m. this Thursday, February 25, 2021. The circulation of metro B is also disrupted.
The police are on site
After an initial recognition by TCL agents, the police arrived on the spot to raise doubts or not.
The deminers took over and are still there, without the dangerousness of the package being proven.
As a reminder, a lot of luggage is forgotten in public transport and is the cause of many disruptions: traffic interruptions, delays …
Partial circulation and relay bus
The TCL network has set up relay buses to serve line A from Charpennes’ to Vaulx-en-Velin-la-Soie.
Metro B runs partially between Part-Dieu and Oullins stations. Brotteaux and Charpennes stations are therefore no longer served.
The return to normal is estimated at 4.30 p.m.
