After several hours of hearing, the suspect placed in detention in the case of the young Sara M., whose lifeless body was found in Yverdon, admitted to being the author of this homicide. The information was transmitted by the Vaud cantonal police in a press release.
The 19-year-old explained to the police how he actually met the young woman around 1:30 p.m. on December 27 in Yverdon. It was when he reached the Bey canal that he killed the 17-year-old woman before hiding her body in a swampy area. Where police finally discovered her on January 6.
The investigation is ongoing and investigations are continuing to establish the motivations and the circumstances of his act.
The prosecutor in charge of the criminal investigation requested the detention of the accused at the Coercive Measures Court.
