Death Stranding: Low Roar tells how the game saved them

Low Roar … Completely unknown a few years ago, the name of the group is branded in the memory of all those who have sanded Death Stranding. And even of those who only saw its launch trailer, released at E3 2016. An interview with VG47 looks back at the crazy story of this post-rock group which one day receives an email from Sony, publisher of the game: “We received an obscure message from Sony offering to buy the rights to our song ‘I’ll Keep Coming’, without telling us what it would be for,” explains his singer Ryan Karazija, “At the time we were in the gutter so we agreed. We then learned that it was for Death Stranding”.

When they receive the famous email, Low roar was still recording his sounds on a laptop in the singer’s kitchen in Reikjavik, the capital of Iceland. Iceland which really inspired Kojima and its teams to create the landscapes of the game turfu. Result, a few months later, the group breaks the Internet when the whole world discovers its song in the trailer presented by Kojima at E3. The rest of the album is revealed with the release of the game, a great melancholy slap that brings a unique artistic touch to long hikes in the desert mountains.

Low Roar singer also says they met Hideo Kojima several times, proof that the Japanese boss has left nothing to chance: “We had dinner twice with him, he’s an adorable guy”. They’ve been piling up on millions of views on YouTube and spending all their time working to take advantage of this celebrity out of nowhere. So much so that they haven’t even found the time to play the game yet!
