JAKARTA – Different prices, different cameras, but Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 Pro are both the most sought-after cellphones today. So, how do you compare the camera quality of the two cellphones?
On paper, the camera specifications of the two phones are very different even though they both carry 4 rear cameras.

The Redmi Note 10 (4GB + 64GB), which is priced at Rp. 2.6 million, carries the formation of a 48 MP main camera, f / 1.8, 26mm (wide) PDAF, then an 8 MP camera, f / 2.2, 118˚ (ultrawide), 2 MP, f /2.4, (macro) and 2 MP, f / 2.4, (depth). The front camera has a resolution of 13 MP, f / 2.5. Well, the Redmi Note 10 Pro, which is priced at IDR 3.6 million (6GB + 64GB) and IDR 4 million (8GB + 128GB) uses a 108 MP, f / 1.9, 26mm (wide) camera with dual pixel PDAF. Then there is a 5 MP camera, f / 2.4, (macro), 2 MP AF camera, f / 2.4, (depth), and 8 MP, f / 2.2, 118˚ (ultrawide). The front camera uses 16 MP, f / 2.5.
Broadly speaking, the Redmi Note 10 Pro is more natural in processing an image. But, that doesn’t mean the Redmi Note 10 is bad. Well, here is a more detailed comparison of the quality of the Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 Pro cameras in daily testing:
Human Subjects
The Redmi Note 10 Pro camera feels sharper in capturing the details of human subjects. The dynamic range is wider, it can be seen from the sharper shadows and highlights. Even facial pores are visible in detail.
The Redmi Note 10 still gets sharp results. However, the dynamic range is not as good as the Pro version. Fortunately, it is still helped by the AI feature, which can recognize female subjects. When AI is active, the face is smoother and the depth of field is higher (more bokeh). So that even without editing the results are good.
Kamera Ultra Wide
–Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 Pro use identical ultra wide cameras, namely 8 MP, f / 2.2, 118˚. So, you can see that the results are very similar and there is almost no difference. The subject looks clear and sharp in minimal lighting.
Camera Zoom
–In this close up photo, the Redmi Note 10 Pro camera looks a little over contrast compared to the Redmi Note 10, while both are able to capture facial details well and sharply.
–When used to photograph indoor objects, you can feel the quality of the 108 MP Redmi Note 10 Pro camera which remains sharp in maintaining details, while the Redmi Note 10 is a bit clumsy.
Main Camera, Low Light
–In low light or low light conditions, the Redmi Note 10 Pro camera is very superior to the Redmi Note 10. The difference is seen in terms of detail and much less noise. If you really want to take lots of low light photos, it is recommended to choose the Redmi Note 10 Pro.
Selfie camera
The selfie cameras of these two phones both carry f / 2.5 openings. There is a 16 MP resolution for the Redmi Note 10 Pro and 13 MP for the Redmi Note 10. In testing, both of them can capture selfies well. However, the Redmi Note 10 Pro looks more natural, while the Redmi Note 10 feels more contrasting.
Video
Both of these phones have the same result in terms of video. What’s different is on the side of the image stabilizer, the constant level or continuity when capturing different light, and the lens focus that feels better on the Redmi Note 10 Pro.

Conclusion
–Redmi Note 10 already has a capable camera in the price range of IDR 2 million. Suitable for women who like selfies, which capture various moments for social media.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro is better in several ways. Among other things, in terms of video, in low light, and the quality of the zoom lens. If you do have a budget of IDR 3 million-IDR 4 million, the difference in the 108 MP Pro version of this camera is quite felt in everyday use.
