Intisari-online.com – Have you ever imagined about a treasure whose value is fantastic in this world.
The treasure is so fantastic that it can make all humans living on earth become billionaire.
It may sound crazy but, it turns out that such treasures are believed to exist in this world.
According to 24h.com.vn, on Monday (21/6/21), a newly released study provides information about the asteroid 16 Psyche.
It is said that in this asteoid there is a treasure worth 10 trillion US dollars (Rp 144,980 trillion) which can make all humans in the world become billionaires.
According to Daily Mail, the US space agency (NASA) has planned to explore the asteroid 16 Psyche in 2022.
Its mission is to determine whether this asteroid really contains a massive $10 trillion block of metal or not.
If true, the asteroid 16 Psyche has a fortune that could destroy the world economy, turning everyone on Earth into billionaires.
Ahead of this mission, a newly published study suggests that asteroid 16 Psyche may simply “contain a pile of debris.”
Research published in the journal Planetary Science shows that 16 Psyche is composed of 82.5% metal, 7% pyroxene iron and 10.5% chondrite carbon.
It can also have a high mass density, meaning the free space in it is 35%.
This figure is much lower than previous estimates, that the asteroid contains up to 95% of metals, mainly iron, nickel and gold.
This content can make everyone on earth a billionaire.
“The new figures for metal content and bulk density are very exciting because they show that 16 Psyche is very different from previously thought,” said study author David Cantillo.
“The fact that Psyche contains a pile of rubble would be surprising, but our data continue to show such parameters of evidence,” Cantillo added.
If asteroid 16 Psyche was just a pile of rubble, not much different from asteroid others in the Solar System, such as asteroid Determining.
In May, NASA’s OSIRIS-REx spacecraft began its return journey to Earth, carrying 1kg of rock and dust from Bennu, 2.2 billion kilometers from Earth.
In a new study, scientists resurrect asteroid 16 Psyche in the lab, mixing different materials until the visible light pattern matches asteroid.
“Having a lower metal content than previously thought means asteroid it might have collided with asteroid which contains more carbon chondrites, depositing the surface layer we are interested in,” added Cantillo.
According to NASA, 16 Psyche is still of great interest to scientists and missions to explore asteroid it is necessary.
16 Psyche takes about 5 years to orbit the Sun once, but only 4 hours to rotate around its axis,
Currently in asteroid This is only 1/6 of the day on Earth.
