The Seiko 5 Sense Style collection consists of a large selection of limited models. What all variants have in common is that they differ significantly from the other 5 Sports lines in terms of colors and designs. This is also thanks to Japanese designers and artists who were involved in the creations.
Reference number SRPG65K1 was created in collaboration with the Japanese artist Guccimaze. The watch is made of stainless steel and has a diameter of 42.5 mm. With its caliber 4R36, it is technically identical to its sister models in the Seiko 5 Sports series. The most significant difference can be found in the design of the dial and bezel. The black and gray dial, richly decorated with Guccimaze designs, has no indices apart from two hour markers and a yellow minute track. You don’t have to miss out on the day of the week and date, as they are always at 3 o’clock. The bezel is blue-black and has Arabic numerals designed by the artist in positions 3, 6, 9 and 12. However, due to the unusual color scheme, these are hardly recognizable.
You will definitely find out after a short time whether the watch is suitable as a serious timepiece. The price for the design experiment, which is limited to 1,500 copies, is around 430 euros when unworn.
Reference number SRPG43K1 it is a creation of the Japanese artist Auto Moai. In contrast to his fellow artist Guccimaze, Moai managed to ensure reliable time display using luminescent indices. The rest of the watch’s design is characterized by so-called “faceless figures” that can be found on the dial, bezel, bracelet and case back. The focus of the art is the theme of anonymity, which Auto Moai tries to convey through its figures.
Technically, everything remains as usual with the caliber 4R36 with day-date display and the crown at 4 o’clock. The price for one of these watches, which are limited to 1,500 pieces, is around 450 euros in new condition.
