New York, Thursday, June 16, 2022 ((rezonodwes.com)) — A man has been dragged to his death after his clothes and foot caught in the door of a subway car as he attempted to get off train in Brooklyn late Wednesday night through Thursday, authorities said.
The New York resident, believed to be in his 30s, died after being trapped between train doors that closed and did not reopen when the train started moving again, police said.
The accident happened at the Avenue M stop in the Marine Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, according to CBS New York. He was on the Q train.
The New York Police Department is currently investigating the incident, but officials who spoke to local reporters said the man was dragged along the train tracks as the subway continued on to its next destination .
