Ford introduced the new Bronco two months ago, but there is still no official information as to whether we will see it in Europe as well.

The new Ford Bronco was officially introduced on June 13, when the carmaker also started receiving registrations for the first pieces produced. And the interest was huge. The limited edition sold out within a few hours, and after three weeks, the carmaker had already registered over 165,000 registrations across the United States. But what about Europe?
Even before the official premiere, graphics leaked into the world, according to which neither Bronc nor Bronc Sport were planned on the European markets. However, interesting information followed about the planned production of hybrid motorizations, which again fed a glimmer of hope in us. But it was probably hasty optimism.

The carmaker itself has confirmed that it does not yet plan to export the Bronco and Bronco Sport models to European markets. “Bronco was completely developed for the North American market. There are currently no plans to export it to Europe,“A spokesman for Ford Germany said in an interview with Automobilwoche.
For the time being, Bronco remains only a North American model that will not even try to obtain European homologation. At least for the Bronco Sport, which shares a platform with a Ford Kuga, this might not be such a problem. But we probably all know where the mistake is.

Everything could be related to a stricter European emission standard, which will already require emissions of less than 95 grams of CO this year2 per kilometer. At the same time, neither the new Bronco nor the Bronco Sport have yet been properly produced, and the motorization offer announced so far could have a problem with this value. For the traditional Bronca for sure, for the Bronca Sport it’s quite likely.
But we don’t want to believe that Ford would miss the opportunity to offer one of its historically most popular models on the old continent. We can only hope that the situation will change with the official introduction of hybrid variants.

After all, Bronco Sport could get a plug-in hybrid from Kuga, while Bronco could smell the plug-in hybrid technology of the Ford Explorer. But whether this will really happen, we will still have to wait for that month (at best).
