Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – A consumer company belonging to the Salim group, PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF) listed. net profit of Rp 5.41 trillion at the end of September 2021. This figure is up 44% on an annual basis (year on year/YoY) from the same period the previous year which was Rp 3.75 trillion.
The increase in net profit is in line with the increase in the company’s consolidated revenue to Rp 72.81 trillion at the end of the third quarter of 2021, growing 24% YoY from Rp 58.78 trillion at the end of September last year.
In terms of operating profit, it recorded a 42% growth to Rp 12.23 trillion, which grew from Rp 8.63 trillion and was followed by operating profit margin which grew to 16.8% from 14.7% previously.
The company’s net profit margin was recorded at 7.4% from 6.4% and core profit increased to 29% to Rp 5.62 trillion from the previous Rp 4.34 trillion.
Indofood President Director and CEO Anthoni Salim said the company could achieve this performance growth amidst the challenges of global economic recovery, including rising commodity prices.
“We will continue to strive to maintain our performance and excellence, and remain vigilant in maintaining the health of our employees,” Anthoni said in a press release, Tuesday (30/11/2021).
In line with that, the company’s subsidiary, PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (ICBP) posted a net profit of Rp 4.97 trillion in the same period, growing 20.7% YoY from Rp 3.96 trillion at the end of September last year.
The company recorded sales of Rp 42.62 trillion at the end of the third quarter of 2021, growing 26% YoY from Rp 33.90 trillion at the end of September 2020.
In terms of operating profit, it grew 37 percent to Rp 8.82 trillion, which grew from Rp 6.42 trillion, followed by operating profit margin which grew to 20.7% from 19% previously.
The company’s net profit margin was recorded at 11.7% and its core profit increased 18 percent to Rp 5.17 trillion from the previous Rp 4.40 trillion.
