According to unconfirmed information from the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Valentin Tsankov is the belated high-ranking Bulgarian officer who told NATO and EU secrets in favor of Russia.
Earlier, the prosecutor’s office announced that a Bulgarian officer from the reserve was selling classified information to a Russian adviser at the Russian embassy. The case was also reported to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which will take appropriate action.
