Schipper saw something in Ringvaart

The “chain murder” has become known under this name because of the bizarre circumstances under which the victim was found. The man was only dressed in a boxer shorts and tied in a fetal position with an iron chain of more than five meters around his neck, wrists and ankles. To prevent the corpse from floating, the chain with six padlocks and two dumbbell weights of 15 kg each was weighted. Despite the weights, the body nevertheless surfaced. A day later, divers found a T-shirt at the bottom of the canal.
