The three scholars arrived in El Salvador after 11:00 p.m. of Monday. They have no symptoms, but due to their origin they will have to comply with quarantine, according to the protocol activated by the authorities in case of a Wuhan coronavirus emergency.

These were three Salvadoran fellows who had been evacuated from the Chinese city of Wuhan (the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak) and transferred to another “shelter” area, while managing their return to their home nation.

The young women arrived in the country after 11 p.m. on a flight from Panama. According to the established protocol, they were “evaluated in accordance with the International Health Regulations ”, because its route of origin was the Republic of China.

The three women were received by medical specialists to be evaluated and transferred by ambulance to complete the quarantine process, according to the Presidency. Also, they received a first check at the air terminal to check if they had a fever.
However, the authorities informed that the girls do not have symptoms but that due to their origin they will have to be isolated, according to the protocol activated before the emergency by Wuhan coronavirus. The place to which they were transferred to comply with the quarantine has not been disclosed.
“We have activated all the necessary protocols and extreme measures,” said Deputy Minister of Health, Francisco Alabí, after receiving the compatriots.

“These three cases are classified by the Salvadoran health authorities‘ of epidemiological interest ’, added a statement from the Ministry of Health.
According to the Health statement, the young Salvadorans began their trip from Beijing, China, passing through Frankfurt, Germany, Bogotá, Colombia, Panama until arriving in El Salvador on Monday.
The State portfolio reiterated that to date there are no suspected or confirmed cases of coronaviruses in the country.
