And video clips showed that the player Marcelo intervened violently on the foot of his counterpart, Luciano Sanchez, at the 56th minute of the match, so that the latter suffered a broken leg.
The most famous referee of the match was the red card in Marcelo’s face as a result, and when he left the field, the Brazilian full-back shed tears for inflicting a serious injury on the opponent’s player.
