Flemings who bought a second home in 2021 will still only have to pay 10 percent registration fees, even if the deed is only executed in 2022. The Flemish government had previously announced that the registration fees for a second home will be increased to 12 percent. But for those who buy a second home this year, the date of the compromise will apply for the determination of the registration rights. People in that situation can still enjoy 10 percent registration rights.
