In 2022 digital terrestrial is changed and to receive the signal all televisions must be compatible with new standard (Dvb-T2). To this end, the State has made available, starting from the end of 2019, a bonus of 50 euros to allow families, who possess the income requirements, to change TV and decoder.
To access the incentive, all households with Isee parameters below 20 thousand euros can apply, but up to now the requests they were lower than expectations. On a fund of 151 million envisaged by the executive, as of September 16, 9.8 million euros were spent, corresponding to 196,644 contributions 6.5% of the total.
To switch from the old system, the Dvb-T currently in use, to the new Dvb-T2, you will not have to change television. If the TV is not suitable for signal reception, just buy a new decoder.

There is a very simple way to tell if your appliance is compatible or not with the new standard: connect to channel 200 (Mediaset) or channel 100 (Rai) and check if the message “Test HEVC Main10″. If it appears, then the television already works in Dvb-T2. If instead the message “Channel not available“, it’s not compatible. If neither warning appears, all programs must be retuned.
In general it is likely that those who bought television in the years 2018 or 2017 already has a predefined model on the new generation system, given the obligation for retailers from 1 January 2017 to sell only TVs suitable for future technology.
Those who bought it before summer 2016 will almost certainly have to change television or decoder by 2022 to avoid being left with out of order channels.

The bonus is obtained, for those who meet the requirements, directly at the time of purchase, by presenting, together with an identity document and tax code, the request completed on the form which can be downloaded from the website of the Ministry of Economic Development. On the same portal of the Mise you can find the list of products “suitable” to receive the signal.
It will be the same seller to apply on price of the television or decoder a discount of up to 50 euros.
