American actor Robert Downey Jr. he seems to have good taste. At least as far as cars are concerned.

This is evidenced by the latest addition to his garage, the BMW 3.0 CS (E9) from 1974. But not just any. Specialists from the SpeedKore company have already managed to look at the Bavarian.
Downey Jr. did not turn for the first time, the same people actors modified the Ford Mustang Boss 302 from 1970 and the Chevrolet Camaro from 1967. The company is engaged in so-called restomod renovations, its specialty is carbon bodies.
In the case of BMW, however, the trimmer kept the original steel panels, only thoroughly rejuvenating them. Carbon fiber elements have also been used, both bumpers and side sills are made of carbon.
An interesting detail is the bar, which circulates virtually the entire body. If you look at it closely, you will notice a pattern of wood. You will find the same on the rear spoiler.

The pattern thus matches the interior trim and the steering wheel rim. The cabin is otherwise dominated by brown leather, which is complemented by unusual fabrics on the seats. BMW also got a new instrument panel and even said to have an infotainment with a touch screen – but it is hidden so as not to spoil the retro atmosphere of the interior.
Downey also wanted to remove the rear seats, instead of which there was luggage space in the back. The original luggage compartment hides a stylish refrigerator.
The technique also changed. Instead of the original three-liter six-cylinder, there is an S38 engine under the hood, which has been driving a North American version of the M5 generation E28 since 1986. From a volume of 3.6 liters, it produces 232 kW. It may be a pity that the six-cylinder works with a 4-speed automatic transmission, not a manual.
For completeness, we must also mention the new Bilstein shock absorbers, Brembo brakes (six-piston at the front, four-piston at the rear) and HRE forged wheels.
