(CNN) – US President Joe Biden announced on Monday that “there are now at least 11 American citizens confirmed to have been killed in Israel.”
Biden added, in a statement, that it is “possible” that American citizens are among the hostages held by Hamas, and he continued that his administration is “working with Israeli officials on every aspect of the hostage crisis,” and noted that there are American citizens who “are still… Their fate is unknown.”
The US President’s statements came as the war raging since dawn on Saturday between the Israelis and the Palestinians, in the Gaza Strip, the enclave of the Strip and some Israeli cities, continues for the third day in a row.
