Karim Benzema they will reportedly not travel to Qatar to play or receive a medal together French National against Argentina in the final World Cup 2022Sunday (18/12).
This is because Benzema was disappointed with the words of the French coach, Didier Deschamps, after Les Bleus defeated Morocco in the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup on Wednesday (14/12).
Deschamps declined to answer questions about Benzema appearing in the 2022 World Cup final after recovering from injury.
“I don’t want to answer you because it’s a stupid question. I’m really sorry, next question,” said Deschamps.
Deschamps also admitted he did not want to deal with players who weren’t in the France squad ahead of the 2022 World Cup final against Argentina. Deschamps wants to focus only on the existing 24 players.
Relief claims Deschamps’ words annoyed Benzema. The Real Madrid forward felt “hurt” by Deschamps’ “cold” attitude when asked about his chances of playing in the 2022 World Cup final.
Benzema has decided not to travel to Qatar despite having received permission from Real Madrid to leave the team. The 34-year-old striker played a test match against Leganes on Thursday (15/12).
Benzema has also previously been reported to have been disappointed with Deschamps’ attitude when the former Lyon forward was injured at the start of the 2022 World Cup and missed out on France.
Even so, Deschamps has not cleared the Benzema name from the French team. Benzema’s name is still in the squad, which is why he deserves a medal at the 2022 World Cup.
Interestingly, Benzema’s relationship with other French players is very good. French midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni said Benzema had frequent contact with Benzema.
