The “economic war” of the West against the republic will not remain unanswered, the head of government said.

The Belarusian authorities intend to announce retaliatory measures next week the fifth package of sanctions by European countries and the United States… The Prime Minister of the Republic Roman Golovchenko informed about this in interview TV channel Belarus 1, aired on Sunday, December 5.

“Naturally, we will work out decisions that will be announced in the coming days, obviously, immediately after the weekend,” the head of government said.

According to him, the next steps of Minsk will be “not asymmetric, as we said, but symmetrical.”

“Belarus did not attack anyone. But since an economic war has already been unleashed against us, or a hybrid war, of course, the actions of (the West – ed.) Will not remain unanswered. Absolutely adequate (retaliatory measures – ed.) Will be taken. This is only a part of them: we are not going to use the entire arsenal, although the answers have been worked out, “Golovchenko said.

As reported, in connection with the introduction of new restrictions on Belarus the republic’s exports may decline by $ 250-300 million annually.
