LENGKONG, AYOBANDUNG.COM – Archaeologists have recently returned to conduct research on areas that have been hit by the worst pandemic in history, the Black Death. In this research, the metal detector belonging to the archaeologist then managed to find two rare gold coins.
The Black Death pandemic hit most of Europe in 1346. The cause of this pandemic is the Yersinia Pestis bacteria which comes from fleas infected by mice.

Using metal detectors, scientists managed to find coins from the Middle Ages with the image of Edward III. Another coin found with a leopard motif was circulated in 1344.
After being traced, this coin from the Black Death period was apparently deliberately created to fix the crisis that occurred at that time. Over time, these coins then ended up on the ground and buried to this day.
