Bash the master of political delicacy

Mihail Takev holds the high title, Kiril Petkov is trying to replace him

Such promised a bridge to a village without a river. Petkov lobbies for a bridge over the Danube, not knowing that we already have two

Mihail Takev is the master of political delicacy. The first teacher how to lie to the Bulgarian people in order to gain their trust. Today, Takev’s high rank is under threat. Kiril Petkov is trying to move him from the forefront.

Mihail Takev was born in 1864 in Peshtera. He graduated from the Military School in Sofia and law in Paris. From there he returns in the latest European fashion. In a black jacket, light vest and striped pants. Patent shoes glow on his feet. A top hat, a starched collar, a diamond pin connection, gloves and an umbrella complete the portrait.

The monument of Mikhail Takev

Under this guise, Takev carried the French democratic spirit and naturally joined the ranks of the Democratic Party. A brilliant political career began. The elegant is a member of seven parliaments and a minister in four cabinets. The journalist Petar Karchev says:

“When he entered the sitting room of the National Assembly, Takev stopped at the door and invariably sent his triumphant smile in all geometric directions – starting from the diplomatic one and ending on the ground floor, in front of the journalistic box. But when his gaze reached the ladies’ lodge, his eyes became dreamy and meek, as he looked like a widower in adulthood. Such was aware that here, in the National Assembly, all government deputies and each of them individually owed him a lot for their choice. “

Mihail Takev’s self-confidence is built on real facts. He developed a new philosophy that made the Democratic Party the first political force. Mihail Takev confesses:

“We will replace the former beatings, the former scandals, the former murders, the former bribes with our two pairs of worms, so we will go from town to town, from village to village, from palanquin to palanquin. We will convene the people – here I emphasize my thought – in public squares; we will reveal to him his hall, his government for 25-30 years … “

Two pairs of worms are few, Takev estimates. He bought four and in 1908 went on a campaign tour. When the carriage approached the village, he replaced the varnished hats with the opints. In this way he joins the broad masses.

Here Kiril Petkov is lagging behind because he has not yet thought of replacing Canadian shoes with Bulgarian tsarvuli.

Mihail Takev goes down to the square, the herald gathers the people and he addresses them: “Dear peasants! I came to see you and see me. Let me tell you something and tell me. Let me interrogate you and interrogate me. ”People pour out their weights, and Takev comforts them with promises. Only the Democratic Party can solve their problems, he said.

“When the world rested,” testified a listener, “his voice drifted through the squares and squares, his words inspired, the words were at the tip of his tongue – he did not bother to compose or dig a well with a needle, his strength shook the tyranny of” the phrase “the people became attached and beat at twelve o’clock.”

Mikhail Takev gives a four-hour speech in Sevlievo. Only Fidel Castro came close to that record. In Sliven he speaks in front of 15,000 people. In Bosilegrad he was greeted by 500 worshipers, led by five priests. “Blessed be the beast in the name of the Lord!”, A black man cut him off and added: “Welcome, dear guest! You created a new life for us! ”“ And all night people were hanging around my apartment, literally all night, ”Takev documented.

Even in those parts of the homeland where the people are originally intoxicated, it is an elixir for the masses. In Suhindol, the Bulgarian champagne, it is acclaimed with banners and flowers. In Sungurlare, the spring of the muscat passes through a triumphal arch erected with voluntary donations from the surrounding villages.

Where Takev’s worm does not dare to set foot, the people are disappointed. “I,” he said, “have dispatches signed by people belonging to all political groups who say, ‘Didn’t we, Mr. Takev, deserve to visit our region?’ Without telling us, come, just go through our area, let these people see what kind of minister they are. “

Where are the roots of this popular love?

In the historical fact that Mikhail Takev puts an end to “vulgar agitation”, as he calls it. The Democrat gives an example with the progressive Alexander Lyudskanov. In the village of Draganovo, Lyudskanov promised to regulate the river that floods the land along party lines. Engineers marked the site with pegs, a water dedication was performed.

“Water is lit on Friday, Saturday is over, Sunday is the election. The whole village of Draganovo votes for the Progressive Liberal Party. No pegs or engineers were seen on Monday – they all left. This is vulgar agitation “, defines what Mihail Takev is talking about.

Takev’s instrument is not “vulgar agitation” but “enlightenment sermon.” This is how he called his contribution to the art of oratory, which started from Demosthenes and reached Kiril Petkov. “He had promised in front of a public assembly that if the Democratic Party took power, his first job would be to build a bridge in the village,” Petar Karchev recalled.

“What good is a bridge for us, Mr. Takev, since we don’t have a river?” Asked a provocative agent introduced into the crowd. “It’s the easiest job, citizen – we’ll get you a river!” The speaker promised coolly.

This episode corresponds again with Kiril Petkov. The prime minister is lobbying for a bridge over the Danube, not knowing that we already have two.

On May 11, 1897, Mikhail Takev was in a carriage with Aleko Konstantinov. Between the villages of Radilovo and Kochagovo in Pazardzhik they were greeted with a volley of smoke. The villagers aim at the Liar Takev, but they fatally hit the Lucky Aleko. The second time the shots were accurate. On January 24, 1920, Mikhail Takev was killed by four bullets in Peshtera.

In 1926, the Democratic Party decided to perpetuate the memory of its Munchausen. An initiative committee has been set up to erect a monument to the great liar. They choose the garden on the corner of “Solunska” and “Angel Kanchev” as a place.

The Sofia Municipality allocates BGN 50,000. Voluntary donations round up the amount of BGN 300,000. The bust was commissioned by the sculptor Ivan Lazarov.

The monument was consecrated on February 23, 1936. After September 9, 1944, such an image was dismantled. However, the master of political delicacy has not been forgotten. Today streets in Peshtera and Plovdiv are named after him.

One day the central artery of the city under the hills will be with a sign “Kiril Petkov”. Because the one who bastards us for half a year was born there.
