The actor and president of the film festival found that, although Eva and I were both commissioned, they spent months together preparing for the festive art week every year since 1994.

“There was the right chemistry between us, in 1993 we got engaged with the permission of my wife Adelka, so bigamy,” specified Bartoška. “Then we went on a honeymoon to Moscow, where we agreed not to take turns with them, but to do a festival every year in Vary,” the actor described how Eva and I started.

Time is really burning
“Eva Zaoralová was an artistic consultant for the Italian and French sections. He will always be reminded of us in Vary, he will always be with us. Jiřina Bohdalová (90), Zdeněk Svěrák (85), Jan Hřebejk (54), Ivana Chýlková (58), Helena Třeštíková (72), Eliška Balzerová (72) or Jiří Macháček (55), so it looked slow in Strašnice as in Vary. The queue for laying flowers next to the coffin took a full 15 minutes, and the ceremony itself lasted less than half an hour.
