Bareskrim Brief Breaking Denny Siregar’s Personal Data

Directorate of Cyber ​​Crime Criminal Investigation Police arrested a suspect with the initials FPH who allegedly had illegally retrieved data from Telkomsel operator customers’ data.

Kasubdit I Dittipidsiber Bareskrim National Police Commissioner Reinhard Hutagaol explained that the perpetrators were employees outsourcing GraPARI in Rungkut, Surabaya which does not have access to this data. He was then arrested in Surabaya on Thursday (9/7).

This arrest is related to the spread of personal data from social media activist Denny Siregar to the social media universe via Twitter account @ Opposite6891.

“Without authorization so opening a file on behalf of and from the opened file he got two data,” Reinhard said at a press conference at the Criminal Investigation Police, Jakarta, Friday (10/7).

The suspect works in that company as customer service. Then, the data is photographed in the screenshot to be sent to the @ Opposite6891 twitter account via private message (direct message).

The shooting was believed by investigators to be done because the data in the operator’s system could not becopy-paste. After the Twitter owner gets the screenshot, he then retype the data to be disseminated.

“So this is not an outcome capture the original but retyped by the Twitter owner and distributed, well that’s what it became evidence for us, “he said.

The motive of the suspect to break into the personal data was allegedly because he had beenbully by followers of Denny Siregar in cyberspace. However, Reinhard said that he was still investigating to find the whereabouts of the Twitter account owner who also shared the data.

In this action, the suspect was trapped in article 46 paragraph (1), paragraph (2) and paragraph (3) of Jo Article 30 paragraph (1), paragraph (2) and paragraph (3)
and / or Article 48 paragraphs (1), (2), and (3) Jo Article 32 paragraphs (1), (2) and (3) of Law Number 19 Year 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 Year 2008 about Information and Electronic Transactions.

Then Article 50 Jo Article 22 of Law No. 36 of 1999 on Telecommunications and / or Article 362 of the Penal Code and / or Article 95 A of Law No. 24 of 2013 on Changes in Law No. 23 of 2006 on Population Administration.

He was threatened with a maximum of 10 years in prison and / or a maximum fine of Rp10 billion.
