Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia said that the members of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi) were greatly helped by becoming partners in the Indonesian Parliament. In particular, the Hipmi members were in Commission VI.
According to him, Commission VI DPR RI is led by members of Hipmi. So that if there is a need, especially the budget, it can be easily approved.
“It’s also good to be working in the DPR as commission VI partners. Commission VI has the most children of Hipmi. The commander is East Java Hipmi Head,” he said at the Hipmi National Meeting, Saturday (6/3/2021).
He explained, this year BKPM needs additional budget to achieve this year’s investment target. He also only needed to contact the leadership of Commission VI and it was immediately approved.
Even though other Ministries find it difficult to get additional funds.
“So other Ministries are not easy to add money, but we WA (WhatsApp), he immediately added Rp. 500 billion,” he explained.
However, he stressed that the action was not cheating. Because, he asked for an additional budget to increase the productivity of BKPM in increasing investment.
This is because President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) asked BKPM to attract investment to Indonesia of up to Rp. 4,983.2 trillion in order to penetrate the 6% economic growth.
“But I said this is not asking for rations, it is not allowed. We can all be arrested if we ask for rations,” he said.
